DRAFT: have a lawyer review this before launch.
What we collect
Your account details, what you write and record, photos you upload, the family members you add, and optional background details you choose to share.
How we use it
To run your archive, deliver your letters and questions, and help you and your family find your stories. Your answers help build a picture of your personality and life so your family can understand you later. If you turn on the research setting, your answers may be included in anonymous statistics. We never publish names, stories or recordings in statistics, and we never show a group smaller than our minimum size.
Who can see your content
Only the people you choose. Private items are visible to you alone. Family items are visible to your family on Archivida and to people you mention.
Sensitive information
Background details such as heritage, race or ethnicity, faith and languages are optional, used only with your consent, and can be removed at any time.
After you die
Your legacy contacts can report your passing. Your account becomes a memorial, scheduled letters still open on their dates, and your content stays visible to the people you chose.
Your rights
You can download everything at any time from Settings, change who sees anything, and delete your account.
We do not sell your data.
